The most important part of your websiteHave you ever got stuck wondering what you should do on your website to make sure it generates leads for you? Have you stared at your real estate blog and just wondered what you could add to it so that it generates you as many real estate leads as you can handle? I find that this is what happens to most real estate professionals. In fact most real estate agents, lenders, and service providers fail to see that the most important part of their website and their blog is something that they can completely control and one that will reward them handsomely for their efforts.

So what is this vital part? It is the content that you write for your real estate website or the posts you write for your real estate blog. Some might think this is obvious and that the small details don’t matter. An engine won’t work without tiny spark plugs and your website or blog won’t work without content. While we may have said this before there are some small posts and content that you can add to your website or your blog that while small will allow you to reap huge rewards in the future. Here are some great small posts or pages for your website or real estate blog:

  1. Utility company information - This may only take half a page or a few lines of a post but trust me new buyers, sellers, referring agents, all need this type of information and you can always point your new clients to the page on your blog or website instead of having to print it out.
  2. Sales stats for a neighborhood- maybe you only report on the homes that have sold and new listings and this only takes two lines. People need this information and trust me the people in the neighborhood you are reporting on will thank you.
  3. Community events- there are real estate bloggers out there who say that you should only post on real estate phrases or terms. In real estate you are part of the community. If there is a charity you can help by putting up a post well I just don’t see how helping others can be a bad thing.

These three ideas may seem small but they are vital to the success of your real estate website or real estate blog. In fact I would say that if you don’t have these three components your blog or website just won’t be working properly. Remember you want a machine that runs smoothly no matter what the market is doing. Make sure you focus on having the right parts in place.
