Finding buyers and sellers is a challenge for every real estate professional. You can use social networking to help others do the finding for you. Today I am not going to be speaking about facebook.com or myspace.com and how to use those but a fairly new website called BeatYouThere.com. This website allows users to comment on properties and search REO, FSBO, and properties by agents.

Think of it as a place where all the potential buyers who enjoy social networking can go and post feedback of a property that they just saw with you. In fact if you tell your buyers even if they go to an open house they can go and comment. There is a detailed article over at inman news that is definitely worth a read.

Keep in mind that the while there are those today who don’t use social networking websites to buy or sell a home the future generation of home buyers and sellers probably will. It is a good idea to start exploring social networking websites to see if they are a fit for you. Each one is slightly different and may offer you something that interets you.

These social networking websites are for fun but are also about networking. People are going to be looking to their friends, some of them they may never have met, for recommendations on who to use for services and you want to be at the center of networks so you can receive referrals in and out of your area.

If you don’t want to join a social networking site make sure that you create an atmoshphere on your website or your blog that encourages interaction and even networking. Blogs are a fantastic resource to be able to accomplish this. You can even create a job board or community board portion of your blog that will allow you to create that sense of community.

If you want to learn more about blogging we have created a free 5 Day Course on real estate blogging that you will want to check out.
