Indy Car  Danica Patrick became the first female winner in the history of IndyCar just a few weeks ago in her race in Japan.  Although she had not won an IndyCar race prior to this one, she had been placing extremely well in her racing career.  More telling than her win is how many races it took her to get to this first victory.  This was her 50th career IndyCar start and now she knows the feeling of seeing the checkered flag wave for her.  So after 50 attempts in a highly competitive field she has the first win of many! So, in real estate have you experienced your first “win” from your real estate internet marketing?  Have you had the chance to cash that first commission check from someone who contacted you from your real estate website or blog?

If you haven’t experienced that win yet, have you given up too soon?  Danica achieved success, not just because of her 49 other starts.  She spent countless hours of practice, qualifying, and learning about her sport so she could achieve victory.

Luckily for those of us involved with real estate we don’t have to worry about speeds over 200 mph or needing a race car that costs over $1,000,000.  Our industry is competitive, but not to the point of where costs can prevent us from getting victories on a monthly basis.  Most of the tools that you can succeed with in your online real estate marketing efforts are low cost or free!  So, what are some steps you can take to ensure you stick with your efforts to succeed like Danica did?  Here are some ways to keep you moving toward your own checkered flag.

  1. Coaching and Accountability - Get the help and direction you need to succeed.  Whether it is through organized coaching like Online Real Estate Success or you tell a partner in the office your goals and meet with them regularly you need someone to help you to your goals.  Coaches and accountability partners can provide that insight you need so you don’t give up and you keep reaching to hit your goals.
  2. Keep Learning - Just like you are reading this blog post you need to keep educated about your area and how to be effective with your online marketing.  Don’t stress it doesn’t have to be hard.  You can subscribe to a few blogs (like this one) and just read the updates that are e-mailed to you.  Even if you just check-in once a week you will stay ahead of the competition.
  3. Pace Yourself - Danica won not only because of her talent, but because of an excellent strategy on fuel usage.  Don’t try to do everything at one time.  Succeeding in your real estate business takes time so don’t expect to change overnight.  Have a 90 day action plan and watch your business grow.

Closing that first buyer or seller from your website is an amazing feeling.  Remember what it took you to get there so you can replicate that success month in and month out.  If you want the help to get there in your first 90 days of work, the coaches at Online Real Estate Success will be happy to give you a plan of action.

To your success online.
