Have you ever thought that being an expert in a small thing would give you a large audience? Many real estate professionals would prefer to be “experts” in many different things so that they never miss out on another deal. You know the agent or lender I am talking about. The one who answers the question of “What do you do?” with:

“I do residential, commercial, development, appraisals, raw land, agricultural, etc”

You soon realize they just will literally do anything but unfortunately that doesn’t make you an expert in anything and you fail to build a following of people who know to call you for your special niche because you don’t have one.

No one would go to a doctor that said “I am heart surgeon, brain surgeon, family doctor, nurse, radiologist, and general surgeon” but in real estate we somehow do it all.

The truth is you don’t want to do it all you want to specialize and you want to do that on your blog as well. Now I am not saying that you have to write on only one subject but rather write on several different subjects that appeal to different smaller groups. This will give you more business in the different areas that you are looking for.

For today’s post and as part of the “Making Your Website and Blog a Destination” we have prepared a video for you today.
