There are quite a few out on the Internet who believe that real estate professionals should not do pay per click advertising. Many say that real estate professionals should just pay large companies who do pay per click advertising to do it for them. I am not one of those people. - It is easier than you think - I am not going to tell you it is easy and you can do it in 5 minutes but with 30-40 minutes of focused time you can most certainly get pay per click up and running and to your website or blog.
- It is affordable - Before I get a bunch of comments about how expensive pay per click advertising is and that “XYZ real estate” costs $10 a click in my area I am not talking about competing head to head against companies on very expensive terms. I am talking about advertising on terms you can afford and that people still search on. By the way there are plenty of ways to compete against companies who spend mega bucks and pay less then them on those terms :)
- People can’t always find what they want in the organic results - People want their information quickly. If you can give it to them via a great ad then they will love you for it.
- It works!!!!! - Yes it does work. We have been getting great leads with pay per click advertising for years and the leads often cost us $7 for a buyer who is looking to purchase a $350,000 place. I will happily spend $7 for a chance to make $10,500.
Real estate pay per click advertising is the easiest way to get potential customers to your website in minutes not months. I am not saying that one should only focus on pay per click advertising but it should be a part of your formula. Think of it like taking a friend out to lunch because they have a referral lead for you. You don’t get mad at that friend when it doesn’t work out but you were happy to have spend lunch with them.
