Tools for your website or blogHave you ever been to a website and realized that it just doesn’t have the tools that you need in order to stay there much less come back? It is common for real estate professionals to have an amazing looking blog or website but they don’t have anything that allows the visitor to stay much less come back. So what tools do every website and every blog have to have? Let’s get into it so we know that these are can’t miss. You can always have more (be careful about having too much) but you can’t have less then these.

The Tools

Whether your website or blog is new or old these are the tools that you absolutely have to have for success. Some might say these are basic but trust me they aren’t or everyone would have more leads.

  • MLS Search Tool - If you don’t have one yet you better get one. Preferrably one that allows people to create their own searches without your interaction. Your tool may even have the ability to search by map instead of with common search boxes. While early tests show little difference in results the future says that more people will search by map. Tools made by Diverse Solutions and and Wolfnet are top of the line and yet affordable.
  • Contact Form - A good old fashioned contact form. Preferrably one that doesn’t require the user to enter a phone number but leaves that as optional. If you have one that suggests some common questions that is a great plus.
  • A Market Analysis or CMA tool - Preferrably one that keeps sellers informed of market conditions without you having to get involved. A tool like Top Producer’s market snapshot works great and is quite affordable.

These are the big three tools that you have to have on your blog or website. Now it may seem as simple as just putting the three tools up on your website or blog and people will figure it out but it is not that simple. Appropriate calls to action will determine how many people use these tools.
