Tom Cruise spoke these famous words in the movie Jerry Maguire.  When his character realizes that he needs fewer clients, instead of more money, to feel fulfilled he starts a long journey that ultimately leads him to achieving success and happiness.

As we progress with our development of our online marketing efforts whether it be through a website, blog (or both) we often get to the point of breakdown.  Some of the symptoms of that breakdown may include the following:

• Lots of hours with no apparent signs of improvement
• People in your office telling you, that you are crazy and the Internet doesn’t work
• The overwhelming desire to throw your computer out the window

You think it would feel great if you could just smash your computer to bits and go back to the good ole days when an open house could get you a couple of sales for the month, but something makes you resist.  Resisting the temptation will get you to the point of breakthrough and give you your own epiphany. 

If you haven’t already smashed your computer you will get start to notice the following:

• Although it feels like there hasn’t been any improvement, there are more people visiting your blog and website.  Maybe if you just worked on calls to action, you would start to see an increase in leads.
• Maybe you aren’t the “crazy” one in your office.  They might be too scared to start with a blog or a website and because you might have a few more transactions closed this year, they just might be jealous. 
• Honestly we all have the urge to destroy the computer but we resist because they are pretty expensive and really they do help us to be more efficient then we used to be.

Jerry Maguire took a long journey and had to hit rock bottom before he realized that he could be happy with those closest and by helping his clients to achieve their goals. 

Realize that every time you are making an update to your real estate website or blog you need to be focusing on your clients.  Write your new pages and posts, not for search engines but for those that are looking for that breakthrough moment into home ownership.  May you be the ambassador of quan(more than just money, the whole package, according to Rod Tidwell (Cuba Gooding Jr’s character) for your clients.
