These famous words spoken by Yoda, to a young Luke Skywalker truly demonstrate what experience can see in youth.  Luke honestly didn’t realize what power he possessed inside and had to train with Yoda to bring out his true talents.

 I truly believe that the force is within many real estate agents, but they are having trouble getting it out.  Attending different real estate training events or listening to webinars is great, but that is only one element of training. 

 In order to bring out your true force you must come to some powerful realizations.  It may not be easy to come to these, much like it wasn’t easy for Luke, but once you own these concepts you will experience your full potential. 

1. The Force is within you - You already have information that people want to know.  Realize that getting into the world of online marketing (blogging, websites, social networking, etc) is just a different way to embrace the experience and information you already possess.  You may not know how to communicate your information yet, but realize that you have a powerful voice inside that people want to hear.  Your expertise is evident every time you speak with a new customer and remember they like it!
2. Training in Action - Now that you know you have a voice that needs to be heard you must put it out there.  Give people a fresh perspective about what it is like to walk in the neighborhood or what the new floor plans are like in a new development.  Don’t sugar coat or be flowery, just give them honesty like you would if you were speaking with them face to face.  Try blogging or putting up new pages on your website and don’t worry if it isn’t a smash hit on the first day.  It takes time and the more practice you do (i.e. more blog posts, and more pages on your website) the better you will get at it.
3. Challenge the Empire - Ok, so maybe we don’t have as scary a mission as facing Darth Vader in fight to the death, but we need to be bold to challenge the forces that be.  This may mean that you keep blogging despite others in your office saying it doesn’t work.  This may mean putting up information on your website or blog that others disagree with (I know..shocking!).  Be bold and don’t be afraid to face the naysayer’s.
