Get people staying longer on your real estate blog and website
As you grow your online presence one of the big goals is to get a visitor to stay longer so they can see the true value in your real estate blog or website. Better yet, they stay longer, see the value, and then contact you for help!
The real trick to keeping visitors on your website and blog is to provide an experience where they are enriched and don’t feel like they can’t find the information. How do we do this?
One of the ways we that we can keep visitors staying and interacting is with the use of a widget designed to provide related pages that may be helpful to the user. This widget, provided by Feedjit, can be used on your blog or your website. They have 4 different styles of widgets to choose from, each of which has a different purpose. Here we are going to look at 2 of the different styles as I think they can be particularly helpful.
- Visitors to this page also liked - This tool is a great one to be used on your website. This widget is dynamic and determines what other pages will interest your visitors based on the traffic throughout your website. It is like constantly providing search results in Google for pages that are just in your website! Pretty handy and we have noticed a 5.08% increased time on our website in just the first month that we tested it out. You can see it in action on our Long Beach Condo website.
- Popular Pages - If your website or blog is a bit on the newer side (meaning less than 20 page views per day) then start with this widget. It gives a numbered list of popular pages so your visitors can quickly navigate to other areas of interest. A top 10 list is a hit on most blogs and hey, it’s worked pretty well for David Letterman, so this widget is a good idea to try on your blog or website.
Adding widgets to your website or blog is as easy as copying and pasting code. Remember if you don’t like it you can always remove it. Top blogger, Jay Thompson in Phoenix, even has a “test” area on his blog where he tries out new widgets to see what works for his blog and the community there. He actually is using FeedJit as well.
We can’t wait to hear how this FREE widget helps traffic and conversions for your online presence. If you are already using it and have some feedback drop us a comment so we can continue to share the good, the bad, and maybe even the frustrating.
To your success online.
