Give your real estate website the appeal of the Bugatti Veyron
To say the Bugatti Veyron is a car would be like saying the statue of Liberty is just a statue. This super car has ridiculous stats. It hits 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 253 mph. Of course along with that super performance comes a super price tag of over $1,600,000. In the December issue of Car And Driver, they cover this vehicle in all it’s glory. Besides it’s freak show performance, I found it interesting that the car gathered so much attention.
No matter where the driver went the car was constantly the focus of attention. From a simple drive on the freeway, to the 5000-car Kruse Auction it was always being eyeballed. No matter what company the car kept, everyone wanted to get closer and get more information about the car and those who were lucky enough to be in the driver seat.
Does your real estate website have this appeal?
OK, so maybe our websites and blogs can’t have the sex appeal that a car costing more than most homes (or 8 Ferrari’s for that matter) but shouldn’t our online presence be so commanding that everyone wants to learn more? If your blog or website was placed among the best in the country would everyone still gravitate to yours?
To make your online presence stand out among the best, here is what you can do:
- Have a bold look- The Bugatti doesn’t look like any other car. It’s not a remake of something from the 60’s with a new engine, it’s bold, even odd and the colors make you notice it. Take a bold approach to your real estate website and make it stand out from the crowd. I am not sayint to have pink text on a lime green background, but try something different. I mean if you are in a beach community, do you really need another picture of the ocean? Stand out and be different and others will take notice.
- Scarcity- Only 300 Veyron’s will be made. Most of us will never see one and that makes it even more intriguing when we do catch a glimpse! Every post and every piece of content you write has value to it. Take time on them and don’t just throw up anything. Your audience will put much more value in your content when the quality is high and the quantity is low.
- Prepare for criticism- That’s right, with success comes those who will criticize you for what is wrong with your website. Don’t listen to them! Although the Veyron has tremendous performance, the tires cost $25,000, so a few people are saying that’s a bit overboard. Bugatti could care less as they know these tires serve a purpose and they know they built a wonderful car. Be proud of your creation and don’t let those who doubt cause you to change your course.
It can be hard sometimes to be bold with your website and blog, but that is what is what will bring you the success that you have been reaching for. The great part about online marketing is that you can change things quickly if you really don’t like them, so give it a try! Try something different and who knows, your website may be rocketing ahead at 253 mph.
