Craigslist talks about change and democracy
If you haven’t heard about Craigslist before Inman news has a great article about the founder and his thoughts on what is changing. You can read the full “Craig: on change, democracty, & Technology” on the Inman news site.
Craigslist receives over 50 million users visiting their site each and every month. Think about that for a minute. They are also in 550 cities in 50 countries. There are a bit over 12 million people in Los Angeles County. So imagine the entire county of Los Angeles showing up at your door over 4 times each month. That is a flood of people.
Craigslist is FREE, for the most part
The vast majority of Craigslist is free. You can post all sorts of things for free. That’s right FREE. 50 million people visiting a site that allows you to post just about anything (including real estate) for FREE. They only charge for listings in New York and for Job Postings. We have personally posted job openings on Craigslist and the charge was always worth it and we have hired some high quality people from Craigslist.
More Changes are Coming
Craig, the founder of Craigslist, sees more challenges for this generation and more changes coming that we will have to face. He believes things will change just not right away. I personally think that Craigslist is a mountain of opportunity because it is the good old fashioned Internet of giving away information for free.
Not sure how to tackle Craigslist? We create a brand new program to help those with the change. You can check it out at www.CraigslistMarketingMastery.com and see how you can use Craigslist to implement a buyer system that generates leads for you each and every day.
