Real Estate Coach

Real Estate Coach

The new year always brings great expectations and excitement.  It’s almost the end of the first month of 2009 and some of that fresh outlook may not be wearing off.  After all you started the year with a fresh business plan, maybe you even tried some new training materials, but that rush of energy is fading, even if ever so slightly.

It’s natural and it happens to each and everyone of us.  The key is how do we keep that rush of energy to execute our plan all year round?  The answer is surprisingly simple, yet most people avoid it.  The key is “Accountability”.   It’s an ugly word that generally doesn’t bring up pleasant thoughts but it works.

It’s hard to hold yourself accountable all year round, after all, we tend to be a bit easy on ourselves.  If you really want to hit your goals, then a real estate coach is a great choice to help you with accountability.  Before you click away from the page, I am not telling you to start speding $1,200/mo on a coach, but help will have a price.

A real estate coach needs to help you dig deep and really bring out your best.  A coach:

  • Should not waste time asking how you are feeling, but rather concentrate on what you are doing
  • Should find out how you are spending your money on marketing and treat that money like it’s their very own (after all if they want to continue being your coach they must monitor your financials)
  • Needs to ask uncomfortable questions where you are almost scared to answer.  Each time you actually DO answer, you will achieve a breakthrough.

You notice I didn’t mention anything about price.  That doesn’t mean that I think you should find someone who will do even just the 3 tasks above for FREE, but rather you don’t have to spend a fortune on coaching.  Even paying just $1,000/yr can get you a coach to look over your marketing.

Sometimes you won’t like your coach because they ask such tough questions and push you to work harder, and that’s OK.  Don’t find a coach that is too nice to you though because at the end of the year you won’t feel too good if you didn’t hit your goals.
