How does this affect you?

If your year isn’t turning out like you wanted you have two choices. You can sit and whine about “how bad the market is” or you can start taking some action and some responsibility that things aren’t like they used to and more work is needed to generate the same or less business than before. So what can you do right now to crank things up in today’s market? Well I will give you a couple of things to do. Some you might not want to hear but guess what this isn’t a market of doing “what I like” it is a market of “doing what it takes to succeed”.

Change it Up Right Now

  • Hold an open house 3 days of the week and use at least 25 signs to do it- This I know has that eery sound of being like work because it is but it will turn results. Don’t choose the house you like choose the one with the most traffic that will come to it. If you don’t have a listing call someone who does. By the way tell them you will hold it open for the next 4 weeks and let them know you will report to them how many people came through so you have some accountability.
  • Call every past client you ever had and ask them for your help - everyone knows the economy is having problems and your past clients want you to stay in business. Call them and ask them for help in anyway that they can.
  • Cut any cost that isn’t making you any money - if it isn’t generating you a steady stream of leads or a steady return on the money spent you better cut it right now. Newsletters should be changed to e-mail or every other month. Call your clients and let them know why and that it isn’t because you don’t care but that you need to make sure to continue to be around for them.

That’s right in times like this take every opportunity to learn new skills, improve old ones, and gain any edge that you can.
