Are you looking for new business? Let me put it this way do you want to get more out of the marketing efforts that you are doing right now? We hope you are and as always we are always on the lookout for ways to improve the results of marketing.

The very first thing that my brother and I look at with any marketing whether it be on the Internet or in a traditional medium is to find out what the purpose of the marketing is. We would say that all of your marketing should generate leads!

My brother and I were recently conducting a training event where an agent said to us after the event:

“I have enough leads I want you guys to help me generate more “good” leads”

Here is the fact about leads, “85% of ALL leads are a total waste of time”. It doesn’t matter whether they are from the Internet, referral, open house, a sign call, or even a postcard. Not every lead is good and the only way we can tell the difference is when we receive the commission check.

The agent who asked us the question had a script issue not a lead issue. We would say you can never have too many leads. The more leads you have the more choices that you will have on who you get to work with and when you want to work with them.

We are both attending an upcoming training event on “12 Ways to Get 3 Deals in the Next 45 Days” on the 29th of April in Lakewood. We find that we can always pick up one or two things that allow us to improve what we are doing.
