What We Discovered In the IE Last Week
If you have never been to the IE (Inland Empire) in California it is just east of Los Angeles County and North of San Diego County. You will head through it on your way to Las Vegas if you drive or on your way to Lakes and “the River”. This area comes with many stereotypes that our audiences informed us of last week.
We were told the following:
- “Not all of us have lifted trucks”
- “See we do have all of our teeth here”
- “The river is fun” - We never said it wasn’t any fun
We were out teaching Social Networking to several real estate offices in the IE and everyone was welcoming and shared with us that while it can get a little hot out there they are there to do business and their goals were to create business that could operate whether they were in town or own vacation. A goal we can completely get behind.
Setting Your Business Up For Success
Everyone was working toward making sure their business worked regardless of where they were located at the time. To do this we covered the following:
- Creating a powerful network - Your network can provide you not only leads but assistance when you are out of the area.
- Letting your network know your goals - This can be one of the hardest things to do however it is one of the most rewarding. Tell people your goals and see who can help you get there and what you can do for them in return.
- Have multiple lead sources - while we were in the IE to speak and train on social networking using other sources for lead is invaluable. We briefly touched on our 7 Ways to Make Your Website a Lead Generation Machine.
When you discover the power of having leads coming into your real estate business each and every day you are free to do what you want in real estate and your life. With leads comes the power of choices and we learned in the IE that they want choices so they are off to build more systems around their real estate business to give themselves greater choices.
