This page is dedicated to finding the best and highest quality resources that will help real estate professionals generate more leads for a lower cost.

Tools

Just as when doing home improvement, you can’t have enough tools!  Having the right tools for the job can sure make the work go quickly.  Whatever skill level you are at, here are some of the tools that we have found to be powerful enough to keep your website and blog successful year round.

  1. Google Webmaster Tools - These free set of tools is provided by Google.  Here you can submit your sitemap, track keywords that you are being found on, and see when Google last checked your website for an update.  It is a must have and it is free.
  2. WordTracker - Discover the words that people are searching on across the internet.  This tools is used by professionals across the globe.  You can use it to build up a powerful list of keywords for use in your content creation and your online ads.
  3. Audio Testimonials - Audio testimonials will make your website come to life and really allow people to listen to the customer experience.  We have found it increased contact rate on our testimonial page by 20%. Using Instant Audio is as easy as copying and pasting right into your website or blog.
  4. Adwords Accelerator - In order to truly dominate with Google Adwords, you need to know about your competition.  We have used this tool for the last 3 years which has allowed us to decrease our budget by 30% and still keep the same amount of traffic and leads. It has a little bit of a learning curve, but it’s definitely worth while.

Blog Software

Using our Real Estate Blog System, you will know what your blog needs to have to be successful, but you still need a tool to help you do the work.  Here are the blog platforms we have used and had some success with.

  1. Blogger - We still run our Long Beach real estate blog using blogger.  It is FREE and you will find that you can learn to use it in minutes.  It has some limitations, but you really can’t beat the price and functionality.  They are owned by Google so expect more and more features to be built.
  2. Wordpress - We run off of WordPress here at Internet Real Estate Success.  It is by far the number one choice for professional bloggers.  The good news is you can still use it for FREE or if you want to have some neat custom features, you can pay a small hosting fee at a great company like BlueHost.

Fun Odds and Ends

At the end of the day, besides the end goal of helping with your business, we hope you find internet marketing to be as fun as we do.  Here are some other places that you might find useful in your quest to continually achieve more success.

  1. Images - Every website and blog needs powerful images.  For those of us that are graphically challenged, we buy them!  You can get great affordable images at istockphoto and dreamstime. They each have a little different selection so have fun, you can get great images for $1.
  2. Reporting - It’s nice to know what’s going on at your website or blog.  We use Google Analytics as it is powerful and FREE. 
  3. Sitemaps - Having a sitemap can dramatically improve the results of your website and blog. Use a tool at XML Sitemaps that creates sitemaps, and yes, it’s FREE.
  4. Traffic for your Blog - The BlogRush widget is great because it syndicates your posts across the network and brings more traffic to you.  It’s very popular and its FREE.
